Being the last Sunday of the month, it is the day for our Last Breakfast. It is also Australia Day and the international Leprosy Mission Sunday.

+ Please bring food to share for breakfast or brunch.

+ An information flier is available plus an envelope for anyone who’d like to donate to The Leprosy Mission. Here is a link to donate electronically.

+ Jazz pianist, Andy Vance, will play three well-known hymns but give them a new twist.

Next Sunday at 10am (2nd February 2025)

+ We continue our series on The Lord’s Prayer with ‘Give us this day our daily bread’ being our focus.

+ Being the first Sunday of the month you are invited to bring with our offering some non-perishable food items to be given to the needy in our area.

+ On the first Sunday of the month we normally celebrate the Lord’s Supper.

This Week

+ Tuesday (28th) 7.15pm for a cuppa and 7.30-8.45pm for the study. The Bible & Chat Group starts for the year in the ground floor of the Village Well (next to the Barn). This group runs every second Tuesday evening. This Tuesday we will reflect on The Lord’s Prayer and focus on the petition: ‘Give us this day our daily bread’.

+ Wednesday at 8pm the Prayer Link resumes for the year. This is 20-30 minutes of corporate prayer which we do together online. Here is the link.

+ A very happy new year to those who are following the Lunar calendar. The new year starts next Wednesday, 29 January and will be celebrated by people from countries including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Vietnam, Korea, Philippines and Thailand.

+ News from the Baptist Union of Victoria

BUV Consultation Forums will take place throughout March.  These forums are an important part of our annual Victorian Baptist discernment process and are open to all members of all BUV churches. This year, our discernment process will focus on two important topics:

1.    Prioritising engaging the next generation in faith
2.    Church planting to reach our growing population

+ Grateful thanks to those who have stepped up to take on many tasks while Eddie is on holiday. There will undoubtedly be gaps and if you see something that needs to be done, please do it yourself or ask someone else to do it.
