The Record – 28 September 2025

Welcome to Worship

This Sunday, 28 September 2025, at 10am

This Sunday at Box Hill Baptist we’re exploring villages and tables—celebrating the communities that make us whole.

🕙 10am – Last Breakfast Service

Over breakfast we’ll be asking: “Where is your village?”

We’ll share stories, bless the different “villages” in our lives, and create simple symbols of our communities.

🕧 12:30pm – Village Gathering Market

Stay on (or come back!) as we launch a participatory artwork with local artist Kendall Bryant: The Table.

An empty table will be revealed—and you’re invited to place a symbol of your villages upon it. Over the next 3 months, the artwork will grow with the life of our many different local communities.

And then stay on for the many exciting things happening at the Market, from craft stalls, to social mixers, a pub choir, food and music. (12-4pm)

+ If English isn’t your first language, don’t forget that we now translate our Sunday services into a huge range of languages through our new Breeze translate app. We also now have a number of spare mobile devices with the app ready to go, which you can borrow for the service.

The Village Well is excited to welcome Spectrum Quest to our community, who will be running weekly role playing games for young autistic and neurodiverse people on Monday afternoons commencing on the 20th of October.

Spectrum Quest helps children and young people improve relationship and social skills through in-person tabletop role playing games. They have sessions for kids, teenagers and young adults with a special focus on neurodiversity, and all sessions are autism-friendly and hosted by a qualified and experienced Game Master.

We’re really looking forward to seeing how things unfold on their quests!

Small Groups @ BHBC

Box Hill Baptist Church runs a number of small groups which create opportunities to build friendships, study the Bible and other resources, pray and strengthen our spiritual journeys.

If you are interested in any of the groups below, feel welcome to contact the convenor, or speak to one of our pastors. (And if you’d like to be part of a group but these don’t work for you, come and speak to us and we’ll see if we can start something new!)
